July 13 Wunderdog Results

WUNDERDOG Horse Picks

Wunderdog is a sports picking newsletter I have subscribed to for a little over a year.  I don't know much about their sports pick but I really like their horse racing selections.  They provide a free newsletter every racing day giving you  at least2 races to bet on.  As I have been betting these selections with some success, I thought posting the daily results would be a nice feature of this newsletter.  I do plan on also publishing more on my new system using Wunderdog free and pay subscriptions at a later installment.  For now lets just look at the raw data. To get your free daily pick subscription CLICK HERE.  Also of note, Wunderdog publishes all past picks on their website and you don't have to be a subscriber to have access.

Daily Picks are usually from one east coast track (Belmont) and one west coast track (Hollywood).  Since both were dark yesterday they sent selections from Delaware and Woodbine.  Received my e-mail at 11:13am, plenty of time before the 2:35pm projected post.

DELAWARE PARK Race #4 at 2:35 PM Eastern

Top pick: #3 (TRIPPLITE) - He was defeated by today's rival Giron last out but was under intense pressure from the start and battled until mid-strech where he weakened to finish 3rd. There's not much other speed signed up and this gelding might get an easy lead this afternoon. The top pick.
2nd pick: #7 (Giron) - Consistent 6yo has won his last pair after coming back from a long layoff and he has fine positional speed. Gelding by "Elusive Quality"loves this surface(7-3-1-2) and is 5 for 8 at this distance. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Cowboy Gets Even) - Strong finisher drops down this afternoon and is capable of impacting no matter what the pace scenario is, though the faster the better.
4th pick: #5 (Fancy Runner) - Has alot of back class and makes back to back starts today for trainer Nick Petro who claimed him in March at Philadelphia. May inprove enough off his latest to be a part of this.

WOODBINE Race #1 at 6:45 PM Eastern
Top pick: #1 (RECONNECT) - Filly has the best early speed and draws the shortest route home in this two-turn contest.Home-bred should have little trouble getting to the front and can take them from gate to wire.
2nd pick: #4 (Classic Maria) - Much improved of late, she was an impressive winner at this trip when getting her maiden win June 15 and home-bred has a fine maintenance drill on July 8. Contends for the top spot.
3rd pick: #3 (Forest Maid) - Daughter of Old Forester has exchanged decisions with Reconnect the two times they've met but needs to finish a bit better to beat both of the other picks.
